You all know the set of variations on La Folia by Corelli, written for violin and transposed for the recorder in his lifetime. But did you know that several other Baroque composers wrote such variations directly for the recorder? Here is one set by a Baroque woodwind player who published more recorder music than anyone else in that period: Schickhardt (128 sonatas, trio sonatas, and concertos).
